Beautiful Autumn in Korea – Day 6 in Seoul, Petite France & Nami Island [01 Nov 12]

Firstly I have to apologise, I have been neglecting my blog recently and lack of updating my travel and personal life blog posts…

I just changed my job 2 months ago, trying to get use to my new working environment.. So far so good, just being a bit lazy to update my blog these 2 months.. I shall get back and try to update it regularly ok??

I know you guys have been waiting for this Petite France and Nami Island for very long, I’m so terribly sorry for the long wait~ Shall get on to it now!

It’s Day 6 of our Korea Trip, it’s going to be a sight-seeing day! Our first time to Petite France and Nami Island, we were pretty excited about it and woke up early in the morning and travelled a long way to the destination!

Petite France and Nami Island are pretty near to each other, travellers will usually cover these 2 places on the same day.

How to go Petite France?
We can get there via subway, very accessible!
Yeoksam -> Konkok Uni (Transfer to Sangbong) Sangbon -> Mangu (Transfer to  Gyeongchun Line) -> Alight at Cheongpyeong
Take Gapyeong circle tour bus from exit 2 and get off at Petite France.
The whole journey took around 1 to 1.5 hours, I couldn’t really remember…

When we reached Cheongpyeong station, we couldn’t find the bus stop for the Gapyeong circle tour bus, but we saw a row of taxis! We decided not to waste the time looking for bus stop and took a taxi to Petite France. I couldn’t really remember the price of the exact cab fare, pardon for my bad memory.. It’s not very near, took almost 1/2 hour to reach Petite France from Cheongpyeong station.

Throughout the whole cab journey, do look out of the window for beautiful scenery of the lakes and mountain!

And here we are! Petite France!

Entrance Fee: 8,000 won (Adults), 6.000 won (Youth), 5,000 won (Children)

Scenery at Petite France is really Beautiful!

But, it is not very big. We finished touring the whole place about 1/2 an hour.
It’s quite disappointing for both of us, we thought there will be something really special or activities for us to participate and enjoy but there isn’t nothing much. Look see, look see and took pictures, That’s all!

We had our lunch at one of the restaurant there, food was disappointing as well..
Looks delicious but tasted so-so only.

After our lunch, we stayed inside the restaurant quite awhile due to the cold weather outside.
And walked around a bit before we left Petite France.
We took the Gapyeong circle tour bus just outside Petite France to Nami Ferry Terminal.
Schedule of bus was displayed on the bus stop stand or you can get the schedule from the Information Counter.
The bus journey took around 15 minutes only!
From Nami Ferry Terminal, we need to purchase the ferry tickets at the “Immigration” counter and hop on the Ferry!
5 mins of Ferry ride and we reached Nami Island!

One of the best season to visit Nami Island is Autumn!

Look at the Trees!

Fallen yellow leaves on the floor!

Can’t stop raising up my head to see all the beautiful trees and leaves!

Look! Autumn Leaves!!!
Close up on the red autumn leaves! So awesome right????
My BFF loves Nami Island a lot, we spent almost 2 hours there. Taking tons of pictures, enjoying the scenery and took the mini train for a short tour.
Lots of activities you can do at Nami Island, for eg.
Cycling, Picnic, relaxing on the field and etc…
We left Nami Island in the late afternoon and took a cab from Nami Ferry Terminal to Gapyeong Train Station. 5 mins journey only!
Another long train ride for us to get back to Sinsa-dong Garosu-gil.
Had our yummy dinner at Black Smith!

Must Try! Their signature pizza! Gorgonzola Pizza 16,800Won
Must dip the pizza with this sweet sauce! Truly amazing!!!

Pasta that I ordered but I couldn’t remember the name of it..
I think its some seafood pasta! Taste good as well!! Thumbs up!!!
